How AVL Network works today
Verified behavior for the current production platform and AVLpilot protocol v1.
Account and Pilot ID
Registration creates an active pilot account and assigns a persistent AVL Pilot ID. Use that identity on the website and when signing in to AVLpilot.
Flight planning
Create a draft manually or import the latest SimBrief plan, review the operational fields, accept the current network rules, and file one active plan.
AVLpilot connection
AVLpilot signs in with Pilot ID, email, password, client version, and installation instance ID. A supported client can connect only when an eligible filed plan exists.
Live radar
The radar displays active AVL realtime aircraft and VATSIM controller context. Weather layers depend on the configured weather provider.
Completion and records
A completed plan persists its route, timings, distance, and duration. Those records drive history, statistics, and achievements.
